[ a.k.a Folkdancer 27 ]

This small, yet sturdy, little boat is not well documented. This may be due to the small number of boats produced or in existence. Either way, listed below is all the information (documentation, images & links) that could be gathered about the Folk Dancer 27 sailboat. Included are scanned images of the documentation that we received from the previous owner of our Folk Dancer. If you or someone you know has more information or leads to information about the Folk Dancer 27 sailboat, please send it to: info@waterworlddesign.com.

Our boat, Gandalf, was build in Essex, England in May 1968 and delivered to Marblehead, Massachusetts on the 15th of June 1968. She is hull number #28. The last owner had her for 5 years. Her port of call was Brooklin, Maine. This past summer she was moved to Cape Porpoise, Maine. She came equipped with a head that almost sank her. The previous owner removed the troublesome head and glassed over the seacock. He also made some adjustments to the V-birth by extending the berth into the space where the head was. As adjustments and additions are made, they will be posted it here.
